IPL 2026: Angkrishs Explosive Half-Century Leads KKR to Set 193-Run Target Against RCB

Raipur, May 14: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have set a challenging target of 193 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, thanks to a stellar performance by Angkrish Raghuvanshi. RCB aims to secure a win to climb to the top of the points table.

The match, held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, started late due to rain, but no overs were reduced. RCB won the toss and opted to field first, inviting KKR to bat. Finn Allen and captain Ajinkya Rahane opened with a partnership of 23 runs before Allen was dismissed for 18 runs off 8 balls.

Rahane then teamed up with Angkrish for a second-wicket partnership, adding 25 runs in just 13 balls, bringing the score to 48. Rahane scored 19 runs off 13 balls, hitting four boundaries.

From there, Angkrish took charge. He formed a crucial partnership of 68 runs with Cameron Green for the third wicket, pushing the score to 116. Cameron contributed 32 runs off 24 balls before being dismissed. Angkrish then partnered with Rinku Singh for the fourth wicket, adding 76 runs in 46 balls, leading KKR to a total of 192/4.

Angkrish scored a remarkable 71 runs off 46 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 7 fours, while Rinku remained unbeaten with 49 runs off 29 balls. From the RCB side, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Rasikh Salam Dar each took one wicket.

KKR’s playing eleven included Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Finn Allen, Cameron Green, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (wicketkeeper), Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Vaibhav Arora, and Kartik Tyagi.

Meanwhile, RCB’s lineup featured Jacob Bethel, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar (captain), Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Tim David, Venkatesh Iyer, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasikh Salam Dar, Jacob Duffy, and Josh Hazlewood.
