New Delhi: The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) will present a grand tableau titled “Empowered by Skills: Building a Self-Reliant, Future-Ready India” during the Republic Day parade on the Kartavya Path. This announcement was made by the government on Sunday.
According to the ministry’s statement, the tableau will narrate a powerful story of India’s transformation into a self-reliant and future-ready nation, driven by skills, led by youth, and enabled by innovation.
The tableau will be led by the all-India toppers of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), who were honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the ‘Skill Convocation Ceremony 2025’. Highlighting India’s rising global recognition in skill development, the ministry also noted the country’s recent medal wins and excellence awards at the ‘WorldSkills Asia Competition 2025’ held in Taipei. These achievements symbolize India’s growing excellence on international skill platforms and strengthen the nation’s competitiveness in advanced skills.
The display will pay tribute to both traditional artisans and craftsmen as well as modern technologists, reflecting the theme of ‘self-reliance’ where heritage skills and contemporary capabilities advance together.
At the centre of the tableau is a depiction of the human brain, representing creativity, critical thinking, and acquired analytical skills. Flanking it are two interconnected hands symbolising the strengthened government-industry partnership through the PM-Setu initiative, which supports the ambitious plan to modernise 1,000 government ITIs. These institutes also assist in training Agniveers, equipping disciplined, skilled, and empowered youth to build meaningful careers alongside national service.
Concluding the statement, the ministry emphasised that the tableau represents a unified vision of a nation where skills accelerate development, innovation unlocks opportunities, and youth lead India’s journey towards a developed future.
