Indian Hotels Company spurts on signing SeleQtions hotel in Tirupati

Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 250.90, up by 6.95 points or 2.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 243.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 245.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 251.05 and Rs. 243.20 respectively. So far 84186 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 268.85 on 04-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 128.99 on 23-Aug-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 251.00 and Rs. 241.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35481.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.67% and 17.14% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a SeleQtions hotel in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The currently operational hotel will be rebranded as SeleQtions. The hotel is a management contract with Bliss Hotels. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have seven hotels across brands including two under development in Andhra Pradesh.

The 114-room hotel is strategically located at Ramanuja Circle, a short driving distance from the Venkateswara Temple, airport and railway station. It will feature an all-day diner, a specialty vegetarian restaurant and bar. The hotel will also have banquet space and meeting rooms as well as recreation facilities including a swimming pool and gym. It is slated to open in 2023.
