India Showcases the Importance of Inclusive AI at AI Impact Summit 2026, Says Accenture CEO Julie Sweet

New Delhi, February 19: Accenture CEO Julie Sweet stated on Thursday that the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026′ held in India successfully highlighted the significance of inclusive development and inclusive AI to the world.

During a media interaction at the summit, she emphasized the critical need for collaboration among countries, the private sector, and public institutions. She noted that this summit also underscores India’s growing importance on the global stage.

The ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026′ saw the government announce the ‘New Delhi Frontier AI Impact Commitments’, a key outcome of the event. This initiative aims to bring together leading AI companies and Indian innovators to promote inclusive and responsible AI.

Julie Sweet remarked, “A major theme of the summit has been inclusive development and inclusive AI. The participation of so many people from around the world demonstrates how vital India’s role is.”

The inaugural ceremony, held at Bharat Mandapam, featured global leaders and CEOs from major tech companies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the AI summit on Thursday.

The opening ceremony emphasized guiding the future of artificial intelligence through responsible innovation, scientific advancement, and international cooperation.

According to an official statement, the participation of global political leaders, multilateral institutions, and technical experts in the inaugural session has established the summit as a platform crucial for shaping the future of AI in a rapidly changing and interconnected world.

N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, described AI as the next fundamental infrastructure, with transformative potential comparable to historical technologies like the steam engine, electricity, and the internet.

He highlighted India’s achievements in digital public infrastructure, asserting that AI is a strategic national capability being developed across the entire technological landscape, from chips and systems to energy and applications.
