
Pune, March 9: Following their triumphant win in the T20 World Cup 2026 final, the Indian cricket team is receiving widespread acclaim and congratulations. Both former and current players are celebrating the team’s outstanding performance.
Former cricketer Kedar Jadhav expressed his joy, stating, “This is truly a moment of immense happiness. Today, all of India is celebrating, and every Indian can proudly say that we are world champions once again. First and foremost, heartfelt congratulations to the entire Indian team, captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and ICC president Jay Shah.”
Jadhav shared how he celebrated India’s victory with friends and family, lighting fireworks. “When I played for India, friends would call me the day after a win to say that the streets of Pune were jammed with people waving the tricolor. I wanted to experience that feeling again, so as soon as India won, I went out with friends to celebrate and wave the flag. It was like reliving the old days,” he said.
It is noteworthy that Kedar Jadhav has played 73 ODIs and 9 T20 matches for the Indian cricket team. In 52 ODIs, he scored 1,389 runs, including 2 centuries and 6 half-centuries, while also taking 27 wickets. In T20s, he has scored 122 runs in 6 innings, with a top score of 58.
In his first-class career, Jadhav has played 87 matches, scoring 6,100 runs with 17 centuries and 23 half-centuries. He has also participated in 186 List A matches, accumulating 5,520 runs with 10 centuries. Jadhav has played in the IPL as well, scoring 1,208 runs in 81 innings across 95 matches.
