Chennai, Mar 25 : The annual award ceremony was conducted at the Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (East) here today. Inspector General AP Badola, Commander, Coast Guard Region (East), felicitated the ICG ships and establishments of the Eastern Region in recognition of their dedicated and sustained efforts in the realm of Operations at sea and adopting eco-friendly practices. A total of six ts were awarded with trophies and certificates for their distinguished and meritorious performance exhibited in the year 2021. The Commander also felicitated winners of Indian Coast Guard Essay Writing and Photography competitions conducted pan Coast Guard. All three first prizes were bagged by the Eastern Region. Two engineers from Greater Chennai corporation were also awarded ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for their contribution and support to the Indian Coast Guard at Chennai, a defence release said. GV 1550
