New Delhi, March 16: Himayani Puri, daughter of Union Minister Hardeep Puri, has filed a defamation lawsuit in the Delhi High Court. She seeks the removal of online news reports, posts, videos, and other content linking her to Jeffrey Epstein. Puri demands ₹10 crore in damages. The court is expected to hear the case on Tuesday, March 17.
In her petition, Puri claims that several posts and reports circulating online falsely assert that she has any financial or networking ties to Epstein or his criminal activities. She vehemently denies these allegations, stating that such content is severely damaging her personal and professional life.
The petition highlights that the spread of this false information has harmed her reputation and negatively impacted her image in society. Puri is not only seeking ₹10 crore in damages but is also requesting the court to prevent the involved parties from repeating or publishing such claims in the future.
Additionally, she has sought a permanent injunction against several social media companies and unidentified individuals. The petition calls for the removal of all posts, articles, and videos worldwide that associate her name with Epstein.
