London, 25 August (Kiran News). A tragic helicopter crash occurred on Monday during a flying lesson on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom, resulting in the deaths of three people and leaving one person seriously injured. The accident took place in a field near the coastal town of Ventnor.

According to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police, the identities of the deceased and the injured have not been disclosed yet. The police have also declined to comment on the possible causes of the accident.

British media reports state that the helicopter belonged to the Northumbria Helicopter Company and a G-OCLV model was being used at the time. The incident happened during a flying lesson.

As soon as information about the accident was received, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance dispatched a critical care team, which included a doctor and a specialist paramedic. A spokesperson for the air ambulance service confirmed that one person was airlifted to hospital in serious condition.
