New Delhi, April 11 : Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday asserted that hate, violence and exclusion are weakening the country and appealed to the people to stand tedly for an “inclusive” India. The statement of the former Congress president comes a day after several students were injured following a clash between groups of students over alleged serving of non-vegetarian food at a hostel mess in Jawaharlal Nehru versity (JNU) here amid Ram Navami celebrations. “Hate, violence and exclusion are weakening our beloved country. The path to progress is paved with the bricks of brotherhood, peace and harmony. Let’s stand together to secure a just, inclusive India,” the Congress MP from Wayanad wrote in a social media post. He had earlier accused the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of spreading hatred in the country. Meanwhile, endorsing his party colleague, Congress Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gaurav said, “The only way to counter the hate is to live and defend our values of equality, liberty, diversity and fraternity.” Let us stand on the side of our nation India and reject those who seek to divide us, he said.
