Chandigarh, March 7 : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in a display of magnanimity during the ongoing session of Vidhan Sabha here on Monday revoked the suspension of Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian. On March 4, when Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian while opposing The Haryana Prevention of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2022 had torn the Bill’s copy in the House. Meanwhile, responding to repeated requests of Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Chief Minister, who is also the Leader of the House on Monday, said in a democracy maintaining the dignity and decorum of the House is the utmost duty of every MLA. A Bill or any other document presented in the House is a legal document and tearing the same is an insult to the House, he added. Later, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kanwar Pal presented a motion in the House for revoking the decision to suspend Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian from attending the remaining sittings of the ongoing Session. All the members collectively said yes to this motion and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta accepted the revoking of suspension of Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian. After this, Dr Kadian came to the House and expressed regret for the behavior saying that in a democracy, the decision of the House is paramount. DB SY 1644
