Hanuman Ansh Continues to Dominate Box Office, Outshining Akshay-Saifs Havaan

Mumbai, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : The film “Hanuman Ansh” is making waves at the box office, even overshadowing Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s “Havaan.” Starting with a modest ₹10 lakh, the film has captivated audiences and maintained its momentum 37 days post-release.

On Saturday, the film’s earnings soared by approximately 85.7% compared to Friday, bringing in ₹19.50 crore in net collections across India. It was screened in 7,449 shows that day. Following this impressive performance, the film’s total net collection in India has reached ₹193.13 crore, with the gross collection soaring to ₹228.15 crore. The international market is also thriving, with the film earning ₹5 crore overseas on the same day, resulting in a total overseas collection of ₹9.50 crore. Combining domestic and international earnings, “Hanuman Ansh” has amassed a worldwide gross of ₹237.65 crore.

Initially, the film faced challenges, earning only ₹1.08 crore in its first week and merely ₹40 lakh in the second. It seemed poised for an early exit from theaters. However, the tide turned in the third week as audience acclaim and social media buzz significantly boosted demand, leading to a collection of ₹10.40 crore. The film then surged further, earning ₹61 crore in its fourth week and ₹90.25 crore in the fifth.

The latest figures from the sixth weekend indicate that the film’s popularity remains strong. “Hanuman Ansh” is based on the life of Lakshman Das, who later became known as Neem Karoli Baba. The narrative explores his spiritual journey, highlighting his evolution towards devotion and the impact he had on millions.

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, known for his work on the 2013 film “Warning,” “Hanuman Ansh” features Shobhinav Satya as Neem Karoli Baba, with Chandan K. Anand portraying Dr. Ram Nandan Bhosale. The cast also includes Purnima Tiwari and Anil Rastogi.

The film’s music has played a crucial role in its popularity, particularly the songs “Maine Tere Hi Bharose Hanuman” and “Parvati,” which have resonated well with audiences. The former is sung by 25-year-old visually impaired artist Sunil Lodhi, adding to the film’s emotional appeal.
