
Muzaffarpur, August 2: In a shocking incident in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, a young man named Kailash Kumar was shot by armed assailants while sitting at his doorstep near Sain Hanuman Chowk in the Kanti block. Local residents and family members rushed him to a government hospital, where his condition remains critical.
After receiving initial treatment at Kanti Government Hospital, Kailash was referred to Muzaffarpur for advanced medical care. The shooting has created an atmosphere of fear in the area. Residents reported the incident to the Kanti police. Kailash was sitting outside his home after dinner when the attackers struck.
Kailash Kumar worked at a tent house, and his uncle, Ramesh Patel, is also involved in the same business. There are speculations in the village that this shooting may be linked to competition within the tent house trade. The Kanti police are investigating the case from all angles and have launched operations to apprehend the shooters.
Previously, a shooting incident occurred in Jehanabad district over a sand mining dispute, where a clash between two groups escalated into gunfire, injuring at least six people. The situation had deteriorated to the point where multiple rounds of firing were exchanged between the groups.
Police reported that the incident took place between the villages of Chhaity-Pepar and Ginji in the Ghosi police station area. Confirming the incident, Jehanabad SDPO-2 Kriti Kamal stated that an investigation is underway. The officer mentioned, “The shooting was a result of a dispute over sand extraction, injuring six individuals. The police are working to identify all involved parties and take appropriate legal action.” Officers from the Ghosi police station arrived promptly at the scene to control the situation.
