New Delhi, February 25: A shooting incident occurred late Tuesday night around 10:10 PM in the Kashmiri Gate area of Delhi, injuring one individual.

According to police reports, five people were in the vehicle at the time of the attack, and the assailants fled the scene immediately after firing. The injured person was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.

DCP North Raja Bansal spoke to reporters at the scene, stating, “We received information about the shooting around 10:10 PM near Kashmiri Gate. Upon arrival, we found that four to five rounds had been fired at the vehicle. One person is injured and has been hospitalized. Our team has been activated, and an investigation is underway.”

Bansal further added, “We are exploring every aspect of the investigation. Based on CCTV footage, witness statements, and other technical evidence, we aim to identify and apprehend the assailants soon. Maintaining law and order in Delhi is our top priority.”

Police sources indicate that the injured individual claims to be a member of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s legal team. However, this claim has not yet been officially verified by the police. The other four occupants of the vehicle were unharmed. Authorities have stated that the motive behind the attack remains unclear, but it may be linked to an old rivalry or gang conflict.

The police have seized footage from nearby CCTV cameras, and a forensic team has begun their investigation. Shell casings were found at the shooting site, and efforts are underway to trace the weapon used. Police have also set up roadblocks in surrounding areas to search for suspects.
