Gujarats Chief Minister Highlights Policy Stability to Attract Investment

New Delhi, September 1: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated on Monday that the state’s policy stability, transparent decision-making, and swift action have made it an attractive destination for investment. He invited global investors to join in creating a ‘Developed Gujarat’ by 2047 as part of the ‘Developed India’ vision.

Addressing the curtain-raiser event for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, CM Patel emphasized that this summit, initiated in 2003 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has become a symbol of global investors’ trust and a platform for sharing knowledge and experience.

The main summit is scheduled to take place from January 10 to 12, 2027. CM Patel remarked, “Policy stability, transparency, and speed attract investment.” He underscored the developed ecosystem in Gujarat based on these principles.

He noted that the state’s investment environment goes beyond just land and infrastructure. It is also built on policy stability, skilled manpower, trust, and security.

“The Vibrant Gujarat initiative reflects 25 years of continuous development, establishing Gujarat not only as a hub for investment but also as a growth engine for the country,” he added.

Highlighting the Prime Minister’s leadership, he mentioned that Gujarat has witnessed ambitious ideas turn into reality, embodying the principle of ‘what was promised, was delivered’ through this summit.

He stated, “Gujarat’s development model, focused on ‘delivery with development,’ extends far beyond roads, electricity, water, and industrial infrastructure.”

After proving its potential in traditional industries, the state is now preparing to take a leading role in future-oriented sectors. The VGGS-2027, themed ‘Developed Gujarat – Shaping a Global Future,’ will focus on emerging sectors such as semiconductors, fintech, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence, soft power, and green growth.

Patel also linked the upcoming summit to the seven pillars of development, or ‘Saptadhara,’ mentioned by the Prime Minister on Independence Day.

He concluded by stating, “Gujarat will leverage VGGS-2027 to consolidate its strengths in manufacturing and diamonds, agriculture, technology, logistics, defense manufacturing, green and blue economy, and cultural soft power.”

The Chief Minister urged investors and business leaders to make their investments a vehicle for development, create jobs through industry, and strengthen India’s innovation capabilities.
