New Delhi, August 31: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya urged investors on Monday to explore opportunities in Gujarat’s emerging sectors, including green hydrogen, hydrogen storage, data centers, and semiconductors.
He emphasized that Gujarat’s robust business culture and adaptability to changing economic conditions have made it an attractive destination for investment.
Mandaviya spoke at the curtain-raiser event for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027, held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He noted that entrepreneurship and commerce are deeply embedded in Gujarat’s culture, with a historical connection to trade and international commerce.
From the time of the Lothal civilization to the present, Gujarat has maintained a strong relationship with trade, entrepreneurship, and global business activities. This legacy has positioned the state as one of India’s leading industrial and investment hubs.
The minister stated that previous editions of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit have not only created new investment opportunities but also strengthened investor confidence.
“Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem now offers extensive opportunities for both Indian entrepreneurs and multinational companies,” Mandaviya added.
He encouraged investors to actively participate in VGGS-2027 and assess investment opportunities in sectors that will shape future industrial development. He specifically suggested studying the potential for investments in green hydrogen, hydrogen storage, data centers, and semiconductors, aiming to establish Gujarat as a base for these investments.
In his address, the minister also referenced global economic conditions. He pointed out that despite international challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and instability in West Asia, India’s economy continues to progress.
He noted that the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will serve as a significant platform for investors to identify future opportunities and be part of Gujarat’s developmental journey.
The event was attended by Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Union Minister of State Nirmuben Bambhania, senior government officials, and representatives from the industry.
It is noteworthy that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 10 to 12, 2027.
Mandaviya highlighted the state’s traditional industrial strengths while also emphasizing the shift towards new investment areas. He stated that Gujarat’s strong business traditions, positive outlook, and adaptability continue to attract investors.
He urged industry leaders to move beyond traditional sectors and seize opportunities arising from new technologies, energy systems, and digital infrastructure.
