Gujarats Chief Minister Highlights PM Modis Vision for Educational Excellence and Innovation

Gandhinagar, May 17: Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel addressed the inauguration ceremony of the National Institute of Design, Innovation, and Incubation Center on Sunday. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unique vision has transformed the country’s educational institutions into hubs of excellence and innovation.

CM Patel stated that the Startup India initiative has become a revolution. A decade ago, there were fewer than 500 startups in the country, while today, nearly 200,000 startups are operational. The Gujarat government is committed to promoting the talent, innovation, and creativity of the youth. It is often said that entrepreneurship is in the DNA of Gujaratis. Currently, around 16,000 startups are active in Gujarat, earning the state the award for best performing state.

Referring to PM Modi, the Chief Minister noted that design is not just a subject in Modi’s vision; it is an invaluable component of initiatives like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and a developed India. In the 21st century, no nation can advance in global competition without creativity, innovation, and design.

CM Patel reiterated that under the leadership of PM Modi, the country’s educational institutions have become centers of excellence and innovation. The Prime Minister firmly believes that staying ahead of changing times is crucial for maintaining competitiveness on a global scale. He highlighted that the first bill passed by Parliament after Modi assumed office was the National Institute of Design Act of 2014, which granted NID the status of an Institute of National Importance.

Additionally, CM Bhupendra Patel has initiated a state-wide ‘self-enumeration’ process in line with the 2027 census by filling out details for himself and his family on the population census platform. He urged citizens to actively participate in this national initiative by completing their self-enumeration from today until May 31, contributing to the creation of a strong, inclusive, and developed India. Notably, the ‘Population Census-2027’ will be conducted entirely through a digital portal and mobile-based system.
