Gujarat Titans Aim to Settle Scores Against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 Clash

Jaipur, May 8: In the 52nd match of IPL 2026, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face off against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday at the Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium. GT is determined to avenge their earlier defeat to RR this season.

Rajasthan Royals have won 6 out of their 10 matches so far in IPL 2026, while suffering 4 losses. A positive sign for RR is the return to form of captain Riyan Parag, who scored a powerful 90 runs off 50 balls in their last match against Delhi Capitals.

RR will also look for strong performances from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Dhruv Jurel has consistently excelled in the number three position, while Ravindra Jadeja has contributed significantly with both bat and ball. The bowling duo of Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger has performed exceptionally well with the new ball. Young bowler Brijesh Sharma has also met expectations. However, Ravi Bishnoi has struggled this season, with an economy rate of 9.88.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have recorded impressive victories in their last three matches. Sai Sudharsan has been in great form, amassing 385 runs in 10 matches. Captain Shubman Gill has scored 378 runs in 9 matches. Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar have also made significant contributions with the bat. In bowling, Jason Holder took 4 wickets for just 24 runs against Punjab Kings in their last match, while Siraj and Kagiso Rabada have shown excellent form. However, Rashid Khan’s performance remains a concern for the team.

RR and GT have already clashed once this season, where Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious by 6 runs. In total, the two teams have faced each other 10 times, with GT winning 6 matches and RR winning 4.

The Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium is known to favor batsmen, and this season has seen high-scoring games at RR’s home ground. Fans can expect plenty of boundaries in this match. According to AccuWeather, the weather in Jaipur on Saturday is expected to be clear, with a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius.
