Ahmedabad, August 5: Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister, Harsh Sanghvi, credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for raising fitness awareness across the nation. He stated that the Gujarat government is actively working, under the guidance of the central government, to provide more opportunities for the youth in the sports sector.
In a conversation with reporters, Sanghvi remarked, “The Fit India Movement initiated by Prime Minister Modi has inspired youth from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to embrace fitness. Following this, the Prime Minister launched the Khelo India initiative. He has significantly increased the budget for sports, which is a major step towards securing a bright future for millions of young people in this sector.”
Sanghvi further emphasized, “Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, sports infrastructure development is rapidly progressing in every state. Specifically in Ahmedabad, numerous infrastructures are being established under the supervision of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. These facilities are not just for Gujarat’s athletes; they are open to youth from across the country. I extend my congratulations to all citizens as Ahmedabad will host the Commonwealth Games 2030. We will continue to promote PM Modi’s vision of a Fit India.”
The Deputy Chief Minister also discussed the recently launched anti-drug campaign by the government. He stated, “The initiation of the anti-drug campaign alongside the Fit India Movement by Prime Minister Modi is crucial. Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, I will strive to advance this campaign with the support of all youth. We will promote the Fit India Movement and the anti-drug initiative, as the Gujarat government is committed to creating more opportunities for the youth in the sports sector under the supervision of the central government.”
