
Surat, May 1: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a significant meeting with Seychelles High Commissioner Harisoa Lalatiyana Akouche during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Surat on Friday.
During the meeting, Akouche emphasized the strong ties between India and Seychelles. She highlighted the need to strengthen relations through investments in key sectors such as renewable energy and tourism.
Chief Minister Patel expressed gratitude for Seychelles’ participation in the VGR Conference and extended an invitation to attend the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Chief Secretary M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry and Mines Department Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary Dr. Vikrant Pandey, Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar, and representatives from Seychelles.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister stated, “It was a pleasure to meet Seychelles High Commissioner Lalatiyana Akouche during the VGR Conference in Surat. We discussed strengthening India-Seychelles relations, with a special focus on enhancing cooperation between Gujarat and Seychelles.”
He further noted, “She highlighted the importance of deepening our partnership through mutual investments in key areas like renewable energy and tourism. I appreciated Seychelles’ participation in the VGR Conference and invited them to join the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 for further collaboration.”
