
Gandhinagar, April 9: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially announced the recruitment of 20 Accounts Officer (Class-2) positions. The online application process commenced on April 7 and will close on April 21. Candidates preparing for government jobs who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their application forms on the official website before the deadline.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized institution or university, or qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or Company Secretary. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility requirements and skills.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is capped at 37 years, calculated as of April 21. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection for qualified candidates will be based on a preliminary examination, written mains exam, interview, and final merit list. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400. The preliminary examination (Paper-1) is scheduled for June 7, followed by Paper-2 on June 28, and the mains exam is expected to take place between December 13 and 16.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹100 for general and other categories. SC/ST/SEBC/EWS and PWD candidates, along with ex-servicemen from Gujarat, are exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official GPSC website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the specified size. After paying the registration fee, submit the form and ensure to print a copy of the application for future reference.
