Govt working towards strengthening healthcare in Goa: CM

Panaji, April 7 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that the state government is working towards strengthening healthcare in the state. In a tweet, the Chief Minister thanked and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating and implementing decisions and schemes such as PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana, Ayushman Bharat which, he said, had transformed the health sector in India. ”The Medical education sector has been witnessing massive transformation with establishment of new AIIMS, Medical Colleges and quality education. With the support of on Govt. led by Hon’ble PM, the Goa State Govt is working towards strengthening healthcare in the state, with enhancing Primary Health Centers, Multi Specialty Hospitals and other medical services,” he said. Earlier, Dr Sawant, who is an Ayurvedic doctor by profession, thanked people of the state for making it 100 per cent vaccinated and safe. He said the government will continue to strive to support the citizens of Goa by providing them upgraded and top notch medical facilities. ”While we celebrate #WorldHeathDay today, I would like to thank all the Goans for supporting us in fighting COVID & making Goa a 100% vaccinated & safe state.
