Daltonganj, April 18 : A goods train on Monday got derailed in the yard line of the Garhwa Road Station as a result of which train traffic movement was impacted on the Barwadih-Sonnagar rail section for four hours. A team of the ATR from Barwadih completed the repair work around 2 PM after which train traffic movement was restored. The incident impacted the movement of at least half a dozen trains. Railway officials said that a banker engine of a coal-laden train in the yard line of the station got derailed causing the incident. Due to the incident Chopan-Gomoh Passenger, Chopan-Ranchi Intercity, Jabalpur-Howrah Shaktipunj Express, Barkakana-Dehri On Sone Passenger trains remained stranded on different railway stations. Anil Kumar Tiwari, the manager of Daltonganj Railway Station, commented that the incident impacted train movement for nearly four hours, which was then restored once the repair work was completed.
