Mumbai, May 2: In a significant operation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) successfully extradited Alok Kumar, also known as Yashpal Singh, a wanted fugitive by Haryana Police, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This operation was completed on May 1, with crucial support from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Alok Kumar had been evading arrest for a serious case registered in Haryana. He faces multiple serious charges, including fraud, forgery, and conspiracy. Investigations reveal that he was the mastermind behind an organized gang that facilitated the issuance of Indian passports based on fake documents and false information. Reports indicate that he assisted individuals with criminal backgrounds in obtaining passports through fake identities and incorrect addresses. Additionally, he managed their foreign travel and immigration-related activities.
Upon Haryana Police’s request, the CBI issued a Red Notice against the accused through the international police organization. Subsequently, UAE agencies located and arrested him. The Indian government formally requested his return after completing all necessary legal procedures, and UAE authorities granted approval for his extradition.
Alok Kumar was brought to Mumbai on May 1, where Haryana Police took him into custody. Interrogations will now be conducted to gather information about other members of this gang and the entire network.
