Washington, April 8: Joe Kent, who recently resigned from a top position, has labeled President Donald Trump’s threats as unnecessary and trivial. He advised Trump to avoid unwarranted anger and engage in serious dialogue.
Referencing Trump’s significant statements from Tuesday, Kent warned that such actions could severely damage America’s global image and its status as a superpower.
Kent, who resigned from the position of Director of the National Counterterrorism Center on March 17, called the conflict with Iran misguided.
In his analytical remarks, Kent cautioned Trump. He noted that while Trump may be attempting to pressure Iran with stern warnings, the long-term consequences could pose risks to the United States. According to the former top official, the process is already underway, yet there is still time to avert catastrophe. “If Trump shows the courage to engage in serious discussions instead of unwarranted anger and destruction,” he added.
