Washington, April 28: Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former aide to President Donald Trump and now a critic, has condemned the use of weapons against Iran on social media. In recent days, she has consistently targeted the Trump administration, but this time she raised a critical issue affecting U.S. farmers. Greene highlighted the severe impact that the conflict could have on American agriculture.
In a post on her official X account, she stated, “One day, parents will tell their children that the conflict with Iran under Trump ruined their farms because farmers couldn’t afford fertilizer or supplies, leading to skyrocketing costs.”
She referenced a survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation, which revealed that nearly 70% of U.S. farmers are unable to purchase all the fertilizer they need, forcing them to limit their farming activities.
Greene also criticized Republican senators who support the conflict, saying, “Instead of peace, Lindsey Graham wants nuclear bombs dropped and $400 million given to turn Trump into a ballroom!”
In recent days, Greene has been questioning Trump’s policies. According to her, the economic front is not showing significant improvements under Trump’s administration. She pointed out a shift in political ideology, noting that while inflation surged during Joe Biden’s presidency, Americans still prefer Democrats over Republicans on economic issues.
Referencing a 9% inflation rate during Biden’s term, Greene remarked that Republicans are “failing miserably on living costs and domestic issues,” as a Fox News poll indicates that Americans are leaning towards Democrats for economic matters. The U.S.-Iran conflict contributed to inflation reaching a four-year high in March.
