Former IAS Officer Divya Mittal Launches New Political Party Jananeeti Bharat for 2027 UP Elections

Divya Mittal has announced her new political party Jananeeti Bharat aimed at participating in the 2027 UP Assembly elections.

Lucknow, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : Former IAS officer Divya Mittal has officially launched her political career with the announcement of her new party, ‘Jananeeti Bharat.’ The party aims to contest in the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

In a video message posted on the social media platform X, Mittal emphasized that the country’s issues stem not from a lack of politics but from the failure to listen to the common people. She highlighted the importance of public participation, policy-making based on needs, and accountability as the foundation of her political vision.

Reflecting on her previous attempts to engage with the public, Mittal mentioned that after hinting at entering politics, she shared a mobile number for people to reach out to her. The overwhelming response led to a flood of messages, which ultimately caused WhatsApp to block the number. She expressed surprise at the sheer volume of feedback and apologized for the inconvenience caused due to inadequate arrangements.

Mittal described the public’s reaction as illuminating, likening it to holding a lamp in front of the sun, indicating that she merely needed to open a window to let the light in. This metaphor underscored her commitment to fostering public involvement and support.

She outlined three core pledges of her party. First, the public will be at the center of national policies, ensuring their participation in decision-making. Second, decisions will be made based on needs rather than individual identities. Lastly, accountability will be established for every action, with improvements made based on outcomes.

Elaborating on her first pledge, ‘Jan se Neeti, Neeti se Bharat,’ Mittal asserted that policies should be shaped by directly asking the people what they need. She argued that effective solutions should be devised with the help of experts to meet those needs.

Citing a local issue, she recalled a water problem at Devkali Devi’s home, where despite the pressing need for water, there was a demand for a school. After her video prompted action, construction began, only to be halted when it was discovered that the selected land was forest land. This delay has left children waiting for their future.

Mittal raised a critical question about the disparity in bureaucratic processes, pointing out that large industrialists can secure land for factories within 80 days, while essential projects like schools and roads for the poor languish for years. She argued that justice in policy is only achievable when every individual’s voice is heard.

Drawing from real-life experiences, she emphasized that better policies can emerge from understanding the daily struggles of ordinary people, like a mother sacrificing for her child or a father working hard to send his child to school. Agricultural policies should be developed in collaboration with farmers, who are most aware of the challenges they face from planting to market.

Furthermore, Mittal pledged to address the concerns of small traders and ensure that policies consider the dreams of the youth and the needs of future generations.
