Vijayawada, March 23 : Five Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs were suspended from Andhra Pradesh Assembly by Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Wednesday for disrupting the proceedings of the house. When the house assembled for the day this morning, the TDP MLAs trooped to the podium and raised slogans demanding the government to order an inquiry on the spurious liquor deaths. The suspended MLAs are Gottipati Ravi Kumari, Adireddy Bhavani, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Jogeswara Rao and Ganababu. The MLAs held a novel protest at the podium by playing chidatalu, a small musical instrument. Irate over this the speaker has suspended them. Sitaram also suspended TDP MLAs on Tuesday too for whistling in the house. The Speaker said Rs 88,802 is spent to conduct the house for one minute and Rs 53.28 lakh for a day.
