Yeola, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : The central government has launched various initiatives to support farmers, one of which is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Beneficiaries in Yeola taluka of Nashik district have expressed their appreciation for the program, highlighting its significant benefits for agricultural producers.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive an annual financial aid of ₹6,000 directly deposited into their bank accounts. This assistance allows them to purchase seeds and essential materials needed for farming during the sowing season. Previously, many farmers had to borrow money from others to buy seeds, but the PM Kisan scheme has alleviated that burden significantly. The direct transfer of funds has become a crucial support for their farming expenses. Farmers have described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative as both useful and beneficial.
Beneficiary Dipak Kotme shared with a news agency that the annual ₹6,000 provided under the PM Kisan scheme has been extremely advantageous. He noted that the funds help cover costs for pesticides and seeds, expenses that previously required loans. The money is transferred directly through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and eliminating the possibility of errors. Additionally, farmers are also benefiting from crop insurance under this scheme.
Another beneficiary, Haroon Dagubhai Sheikh from Saygaon in Yeola taluka, has also experienced the advantages of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. He receives ₹2,000 every four months directly into his bank account. This money is used for household expenses as well as purchasing necessary farming supplies. Sheikh mentioned that he faced financial difficulties before the scheme was implemented, but now, farmers are receiving crucial financial assistance.
