Families Allege Foul Play After Car Crash Claims Lives of Two Women in Andhra Pradesh

Anantapur, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic car accident in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh resulted in the deaths of two young women and left another person injured. The incident occurred when the car collided with a roadside hotel, prompting the victims’ families to allege that the crash was staged as part of a murder plot.

The accident took place early Tuesday morning near Rotarypuram in the Bukkarayasamudram mandal. The deceased were identified as 20-year-olds Haritha and Navnita. Haritha was a third-year nursing student at a college in Anantapur, while Navnita worked as a nurse in a private hospital.

According to police reports, the two women were friends with Kumar and Sridhar Reddy, who were also in the car. Kumar worked at the same hospital as Navnita, and Sridhar Reddy was an insurance agent who frequently visited the facility.

The group had set out for a drive on Monday night, visiting Korapadu, SRIT College, and other locations before heading back to Anantapur around 4 a.m. on Tuesday. It is believed that Sridhar Reddy lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash with the hotel, which was under construction.

Haritha died at the scene, while Navnita was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The families of the deceased are claiming that the two men lured the women into the car and then killed them, attempting to disguise the act as an accident. They raised suspicions because Kumar and Sridhar Reddy escaped with only minor injuries.

Salamma, Haritha’s mother, expressed her concerns, stating she had warned her daughter to be cautious around the young men. Vijaya, Navnita’s mother, echoed these sentiments, alleging that her daughter was deceived by the men and demanding justice.

In response to the families’ complaints, police have opened an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. A post-mortem report is expected to be crucial in determining the cause of death.
