Fair Investigation Essential in Disha Salian Case, Says Minister Girish Mahajan

Minister Girish Mahajan emphasizes the need for a fair investigation into Disha Salians death, ensuring no innocent person is implicated.

Nashik, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Minister Girish Mahajan has responded to the ongoing investigation into the death of Disha Salian, asserting the necessity for a fair inquiry. He emphasized that the government has no intention of implicating any innocent individuals in the case. Actions will be taken based solely on the findings of the investigation.

Mahajan noted that Disha’s father, Satish Salian, has presented various facts and information regarding the case. He has shared his perspective and relevant details with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The minister urged that all aspects should be thoroughly examined by the investigative agency. It is crucial to allow the investigation process to unfold without distractions from accusations. A clear understanding of the situation will emerge only after reviewing all available documents, prior investigations, forensic evidence, witness statements, and other relevant materials. The CBI has already registered a First Information Report (FIR) and commenced its investigation.

The minister clarified that no innocent person should be harassed or wrongfully implicated. If anyone is found guilty during the investigation, appropriate legal actions must follow. The CBI is conducting the entire process, and it should be allowed to operate independently and impartially. Following directives from the Bombay High Court, the CBI has initiated its inquiry into this matter.

Mahajan further stated that the final conclusions should arise from the investigation and the evidence at hand. The government’s role should be limited to ensuring a fair investigation and adhering to legal protocols for any subsequent actions.

Earlier, Satish Salian, accompanied by his lawyer, attempted to deliver a defamation notice for ₹500 crore to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray at his residence, ‘Matoshree.’ However, they were denied entry and had to submit the notice at the main gate.

Satish’s lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, informed the media that they had received threats regarding their ability to practice law, which prompted their visit to Matoshree to serve the legal notice.
