Somnath, May 11: The ‘Amrit Parv’ event is being held at Somnath Temple, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make an appearance. Artists from various states and spectators from distant locations have gathered for this special occasion.
A female artist shared, “Today is a very special day for us as our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Gujarat. Our team has come from Porbandar to welcome him.”
Another female artist added, “We are here to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our preparations are nearly complete.”
The president of the Gujarat State Folk Arts Federation stated that the state government has invited 220 artists to participate. With the Prime Minister visiting, this event marks 75 years since the reconstruction of Mahadev Somnath. All 220 artists will showcase their talents during the celebration.
One attendee remarked, “Today, as the Prime Minister arrives, all these cultural groups and teams will perform in his honor. We welcome him and celebrate this occasion with joy.”
A woman visiting Somnath Temple for the first time expressed her excitement, saying, “It feels wonderful. We arrived in Somnath on Sunday and learned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also coming here. We are very excited.”
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform rituals at Somnath Temple on Monday. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, he will participate in the ‘Somnath Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the temple’s inauguration following its reconstruction. He is scheduled to take part in special ceremonies, including ‘Maha Puja’, ‘Kumbhabhishek’, and ‘Flag Hoisting’. Additionally, he will release a commemorative postage stamp and coin during this event.
