Sydney: England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is conducting a thorough review following England’s 4-1 loss to Australia in the 2025-26 Ashes series. Richard Gould, ECB’s Chief Executive Officer, confirmed that the team’s disappointing performance is under close scrutiny.
Gould stated that the England team, led by captain Ben Stokes, will analyse this defeat carefully and set its sights on winning the Ashes in 2027. “The series began with high hopes, so it is deeply disappointing that we could not realise our dream of Ashes victory on Australian soil,” he said.
