Mumbai, May 7: Every artist dreams of shining in the world of acting and receiving applause. However, some moments surpass all measures of success. Actor Kunal Thakur, who plays a lead role in the crime-sports drama web series “Glory,” recently experienced such a moment.
In the series, Kunal portrays a boxer named Raka. He shared that it was the first time in his nine-year career that his father visited the shooting set to see him perform.
On Wednesday, Kunal posted an emotional message on Instagram, featuring a photo with his father and co-star Mukti Mohan.
He wrote, “After spending nine years in this industry, my father came to meet me on set for the first time. My parents live in Abu Dhabi. Amidst the struggles, long shooting schedules, and chasing dreams, they had never seen me work live on set.”
Kunal credited his co-star Mukti Mohan for facilitating this special visit. He mentioned, “Mukti planned to bring my father to the set. She introduced him to the world I have been pursuing for nearly a decade.”
Expressing his emotions, Kunal shared that seeing his father quietly watching him act as Raka was more precious than any award or applause.
He concluded, “It was about being seen and understood by the person whose presence means the most to me. My father’s presence was the greatest testament to my years of hard work. That was the true moment of ‘Glory’ for me.”
