Patna, April 6: Bihar Minister Dilip Jayaswal stated on Monday that the elections in West Bengal and Assam are crucial for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. He accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the ‘Indi’ alliance of attempting to form a government with the help of infiltrators. “First, the country must survive; only then will anyone’s power remain,” he asserted.
In an interview with a news agency, Jayaswal emphasized, “The elections in West Bengal and Assam are vital for protecting the country’s sovereignty. As Home Minister Amit Shah has pointed out, the demographics in Bengal and Assam are changing. The TMC and the ‘Indi’ alliance are trying to form a government with the help of infiltrators, but the country must be preserved first.” He expressed confidence that the people of Bengal are ready for change.
Responding to Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on the Women’s Reservation Bill, Jayaswal questioned, “Why is there such an uproar in the opposition regarding women’s reservation? Under PM Modi’s leadership, half of the country’s population should receive their political rights. The BJP is moving forward in this direction. Akhilesh Yadav is an anti-women leader who does not care about women’s reservation.”
JD(U) spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad also addressed the opposition’s stance on the Women’s Reservation Bill. He stated, “Parties like RJD and SP do not want to grant women their rights. They have continuously tried to create obstacles, but there will be no difficulty in passing this bill in Parliament. The NDA holds a significant majority in both houses.”
Commenting on PM Modi’s statement about ‘jungle raj’ in West Bengal, he remarked, “It is absolutely true. The way the TMC accused the BJP after the Malda incident is surprising. The state government is responsible for law and order. PM Modi also asserts that Mamata Banerjee cannot fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bengal. Factories are shutting down, jobs are scarce, and law and order is in disarray.”
He added that if the people of Bengal are seeking a new future, they have the option to choose the BJP. Development in Bengal is possible only with BJP governance at both the center and the state.
Rajiv Ranjan Prasad also targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, stating, “Rahul Gandhi makes grand statements in speeches, but he fails to communicate afterward. State units of Congress take months to meet him. He seems unaware of current events. While he talks about ensuring participation for backward classes and Dalits, recent appointments in Congress contradict his statements.”
