Mumbai, April 8: Eknath Shinde, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and leader of the Shiv Sena, urged party legislators, MPs, and coordinators to connect with grassroots workers, address public issues promptly, and actively contribute to the party’s growth.
He emphasized the need to focus on party expansion now that the elections are over. Shinde warned officials that failure to demonstrate results could jeopardize their positions. He instructed the appointment of booth-level agents (BLAs) for a comprehensive review of voter lists.
Recently, the Shiv Sena appointed key coordinators, division coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators. An important online review and guidance meeting for these officials was held on Wednesday in Shinde’s presence.
During the meeting, he directed ministers, legislators, and MPs to step down from their positions and work as party activists. Considering the reorganization of constituencies, Shinde provided a roadmap for upcoming local governance, assembly, and Lok Sabha elections to the contact heads.
He clearly stated that Lok Sabha coordinators must hold separate meetings for each assembly constituency in their areas and send daily reports with photographs for his review.
Regarding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) campaign being conducted by the Election Commission in the state, Shinde inquired about the number of block-level agents appointed so far, how often they have visited their constituencies, and how many meetings have been held.
He issued a stern warning that those who fail to submit work reports or show negligence will be removed from their positions. In light of the constituency divisions, he instructed that each constituency appoint two BLAs for an in-depth review of voter lists and hold daily meetings with them.
Shinde also stressed that to strengthen and make the party organization more effective, each official must work with greater energy in their respective areas.
