Eggs Thrown at AAP Leaders in Punjab Amid Rising Political Tensions
Political tensions escalate in Punjab as AAP claims BJP leaders faced public backlash during their visit, with eggs reportedly thrown in protest.

Chandigarh, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions are escalating in Punjab as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clash over recent events. AAP recently took to social media platform X to make a bold claim regarding protests against BJP leaders Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak.
In a post, AAP asserted, “The people of Punjab have shown the mirror to BJP’s theatrical journey. Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak faced public outrage, with eggs thrown at them. The people of Punjab have made it clear that they will not tolerate BJP’s dirty politics, which has dragged the state into a quagmire of drugs.”
This incident has intensified the political atmosphere in Punjab. AAP alleges that the BJP’s ongoing campaign lacks public support, as citizens are openly opposing it. The party framed this incident as a clear indication of public discontent.
According to AAP, the BJP’s political maneuvers are responsible for exacerbating the drug problem in Punjab, and the local populace is no longer willing to accept such politics.
As of now, the BJP has not issued an official response to the allegations, nor has there been independent verification of the reported egg-throwing incident or the identities of those involved.
Political activity has been high in Punjab recently, with all parties ramping up their efforts. The BJP is actively conducting outreach initiatives to expand its influence, while the ruling AAP continues to hold the BJP accountable for issues affecting the state. The drug crisis remains a significant political issue, with parties frequently accusing one another.
