Kolkata, March 4: The T20 World Cup 2026 semifinals are set to take place at Eden Gardens Stadium on Wednesday, featuring a match between South Africa and New Zealand. The winning team will secure a spot in the final, scheduled for March 8.

Eden Gardens has witnessed only three innings where teams have crossed the 200-run mark in T20 matches. All these instances occurred during the World Cup. Here’s a look at those remarkable games.

In the first match, Scotland faced Italy on February 9, 2026, in Group C. Scotland scored 207 runs, losing 4 wickets. George Munsey was the standout performer, scoring 84 runs off 54 balls, including 15 boundaries. Brandon McMullen contributed an unbeaten 41 runs. Italy, in response, managed just 134 runs in 16.4 overs, leading to a 73-run victory for Scotland.

The second match took place on February 16, 2026, between England and Italy in Group C. England batted first, posting 202 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, thanks to Will Jacks’ unbeaten 53.
