Dr. Shankar emphasized that she is not alone in this fight; the entire nation stands with Twisha’s family. Highlighting the importance of familial bonds, she noted that Twisha has been a significant part of their family, and she will provide full support at every step.
Meanwhile, the high-profile case of Twisha Sharma’s death has taken a new turn in Madhya Pradesh. On Tuesday, Twisha’s family renewed their demand for a second post-mortem and requested that the investigation be transferred from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi.
The family alleges that influential individuals are exerting pressure, affecting the investigation and interfering with the judicial process. Twisha’s mother, Rekha Sharma, stated that her family has been wandering from place to place seeking justice, but they have not been heard anywhere.
She said, “I am demanding a second post-mortem and want our case to be transferred to Delhi as soon as possible. We are not receiving any help here. For the past 5-6 days, we have been visiting different offices, but there has been no response.”
Twisha’s father raised concerns over the denial of permission for a second post-mortem. He questioned why permission was initially granted but later revoked, which clearly indicates external influence and pressure.
He stated, “If the case was under the commissioner’s jurisdiction, how was permission granted initially and then stopped? This is clearly a matter of influence. Interfering with someone’s rights in the judicial process is wrong.”
He further alleged that the accused have manipulated the entire situation to their advantage and are influencing the investigation.
