DMK’s new office set to be inaugurated in Delhi, several top leaders to attend

New Delhi, April 2 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Chief MK Stalin will inaugurate the new office of his party in Delhi on Saturday evening, an event which is to be attended by several top leaders. According to sources, Congress President Sonia Gandhi is likely to attend the ceremony. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is also likely to attend. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao were also invited, and are likely to send their representatives, said sources. The launch of the new party office, located at 6, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in Delhi, is being seen as an indication of DMK’s larger role at the national level. Several top BJP leaders have also been invited. DMK Parliamentary party leader and former on Minister T.R. Baalu had met Sonia Gandhi, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, and other senior leaders and extended the invitation for the DMK office inauguration. The DMK is currently the third largest party in the Lok Sabha, and the second largest Opposition party with 24 MPs. On a three day visit to Delhi, Stalin has met several top leaders, including Prime Minister Nrendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari , Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
