Udaipur, August 1 (H.S.): District Collector Namit Mehta on Friday visited the under-construction Lion Safari Park site at Sajjangarh and reviewed the ongoing development work. He instructed the concerned officials to expedite the completion of the project.
During the inspection, the Collector emphasized that the project is highly significant for the tourism development of Udaipur. He stated that the launch of the Lion Safari will not only boost tourist footfall from across India and abroad but will also create local employment opportunities.
He inspected various components of the project, including the park’s boundary wall, entry gate, trekking route, water facilities, and the enclosure built for the lion pair. He directed that construction quality must be ensured and all safety standards be strictly followed.
Also present during the visit were UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Yadvendra Singh Chundawat, and other officials.
