Devotees Take Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam on Third Day of Magh Mela

Prayagraj witnessed a large gathering of devotees at the Sangam ghats on the third day of the Magh Mela. Pilgrims from across the country took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, expressing deep faith and devotion.

Many devotees appeared elated after the ritual bath. One pilgrim from Hyderabad shared, “We have come from Hyderabad. We had earlier attended the Maha Kumbh and now we are bathing at the Magh Mela. After the dip, we will visit Kashi Vishwanath temple tonight and then proceed to Ayodhya to visit the Ram temple before returning home. The Yogi government has made excellent arrangements, Har Har Gange.”

Devotees also praised the administration for its management. A devotee said, “The government has managed the crowd very well. Traffic and parking arrangements are commendable. I encourage everyone to visit here. There are no difficulties and all facilities are well maintained.”

Another visitor added, “Magh Mela has its own charm. Coming here feels wonderful. The administration has arranged everything well, just like last time. The police are constantly present and ready to assist devotees. Youth participation in faith is very high. Overall, the arrangements are excellent with many facilities and clean changing rooms.”

The Magh Mela began on January 3 and will continue until February 15. Millions of devotees bathed on the opening day, and large numbers continue to arrive daily. The administration has ensured strong security, cleanliness, traffic, and parking arrangements. Despite cold winds and fog, the enthusiasm of the devotees remains high.

The Magh Mela is a symbol of faith and culture. Many pilgrims are also undertaking Kalpvas. Alongside the holy dips, bhajans, kirtans, and religious discourses are being conducted at the Sangam ghats. Devotees believe that bathing at the Sangam cleanses sins and brings peace to the mind.
