Devoleena Bhattacharjees Independence Day Message: Patriotism Should Reside in Our Hearts, Not Just in Speeches

Mumbai, August 15: The nation is celebrating its 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee emphasizes the importance of understanding the sacrifices made for India’s freedom. She believes that being Indian embodies kindness, courage, and unity.

In a recent conversation, Devoleena reflected on what Independence Day means to her. She stated, “This day reminds us that our freedom was not free; it came at a cost. It is also a day to honor those who fought so we can live with dignity, speak freely, and dream without fear.”

Devoleena expressed her heartfelt desire to teach her son, Joy, about the significance of freedom from a young age. She shared, “As a mother, I am teaching Joy how to celebrate Independence Day so he understands our roots. Waving the tricolor flag with small hands, listening to the national anthem, feeling the atmosphere, and learning about freedom in simple words—these moments instill pride and gratitude in children.”

She believes that if she instills these values early on, Joy’s love for the country will be more than just words; it will be a feeling embedded in his heart. The future of India will be shaped by the values we impart today.

Devoleena is well-known for her role as the strong-willed Gopi Bahu in Star Plus’s shows ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ and ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.’ She has also appeared in reality shows like ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and ‘Bigg Boss 14,’ as well as fiction shows such as ‘Chhathi Maiya Ki Betiya’ and ‘Dil Diyan Gallan.’
