
GTB Enclave, New Delhi, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police have resolved a snatching case in the GTB Enclave area within just 24 hours. The police apprehended two suspects and recovered the motorcycle used in the crime, along with the clothing worn by the perpetrators during the incident.
The incident occurred on October 4 when a woman reported that two men on a motorcycle snatched her gold chain while she was shopping for vegetables. Following the complaint, officers at the GTB Enclave police station immediately registered the case and launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Investigators analyzed CCTV footage, which revealed a partial registration number of the motorcycle involved in the crime. It was later discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen from Harsh Vihar. Further examination of the footage, combined with intelligence tips, led the police to identify the suspects.
Under the supervision of Inspector Brijesh Mishra, a team from the GTB Enclave police station arrested both individuals within 24 hours in Nand Nagri. The suspects were identified as 36-year-old Naveen, also known as Goldie, from Sundar Nagri, and 40-year-old Vinod from Gandhi Nagar.
Authorities confirmed that the stolen motorcycle used in the snatching was recovered, along with the clothing that matched the description seen in the CCTV footage. However, the gold chain taken from the victim has not yet been found.
Police reported that a third accomplice, who was involved in the crime, remains at large. Teams are actively working to locate and apprehend this individual and recover the stolen chain. The investigation is ongoing.
