Delhi Police Launches Nationwide Motorcycle Rally for National Unity Day 2026

The Delhi Police kickstarts a motorcycle rally promoting drug awareness, set to cover 1,300 km and culminate at the Statue of Unity.

New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant initiative for National Unity Day 2026, the Delhi Police has launched a motorcycle rally aimed at promoting drug awareness among youth and the general public. The rally commenced from the police headquarters on October 19, with Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar flagging off the team in the presence of senior officials.

Themed “Say No to Drugs,” the rally seeks to educate citizens about the harmful effects of substance abuse and spread the message of a drug-free India. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is coordinating the event in collaboration with other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) across northern states.

Central Home Minister will formally launch the national motorcycle rally on October 21 from the National Police Memorial. Participants include teams from the Delhi Police, various state and union territory police units, and CAPFs.

The rally will cover approximately 1,300 kilometers, culminating in Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), Gujarat. During the journey, the convoy will make overnight stops in Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, and Gandhinagar, with plans to arrive in Ekta Nagar on October 25, where teams from across the country will gather.

Throughout the trip, police teams will conduct awareness programs at educational institutions and public places, informing attendees about the dangers of drug use and encouraging youth to stay away from substances.

The main event is scheduled for October 31 at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, with the Prime Minister expected to attend. Motorcycle teams from various states will also participate in a parade during this occasion.

The Delhi Police team consists of eight riders, including five primary and three reserve members, equipped with specialized riding gear for their safety. Additional logistical support will be provided through trucks, Ertigas, and minibuses accompanying the team.

The Delhi Police has arranged accommodations and meals for teams from regions including Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Punjab at the New Police Lines in Delhi.

The primary goal of this campaign is to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use within society, especially among the youth, and to inspire citizens to avoid narcotics. Awareness programs will also take place at prominent locations such as India Gate and Red Fort.
