New Delhi, April 6 : A cyber stalker was arrested for allegedly harassing over 150 women through virtual WhatsApp numbers and fake Instagram accounts, Delhi Police said on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Sachin Kumar (30), circulated women’s morphed obscene images on social media to force them to have physical relation with him, Vikram Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka Delhi, said. The accused is a school dropout and stays in Shahbad Dairy area. He works as labourer. He used to search for mobile numbers of women through friendship apps and send them friendship requests to them on WhatsApp through virtual numbers, when any woman rejects his request he creates her morphed obscene images and starts threatening her to circulate them on social media, said Singh. Cyber Police Station at Dwarka received a complaint regarding this issue. The complainant alleged that on the morning of March 23, she received friendship messages from an unknown virtual Whatsapp number. On this, she blocked that number. Thereafter, in the evening, she again received friendship messages and Whatsapp calls from different virtual WhatsApp numbers. When she refused the sender to do so, he sent her morphed obscene photographs and abused her and threatened her that if she would not befriend him then he would make her photographs viral on Instagram. When the complainant didn’t agree for that he uploaded her morphed obscene photographs on Instagram, said Delhi Police. On the basis of complaint, a case under sections 354/506/509 IPC was registered at Cyber Police Station Dwarka and initiated the probe. During investigation, details of fake Instagram accounts and virtual numbers were obtained and analyzed. IPDR, CDR and CAF of relevant IP Addresses and mobile numbers were obtained and analyzed. IMEI search of relevant IMEIs were also obtained and analyzed following which the team raided Shahbad Dairy area and apprehended the accused. CM GK
