Delhi Government Marks One Year of Achievements Under BJP Leadership

New Delhi, February 8: Senior BJP leader R.P. Singh highlighted the accomplishments of the Delhi government as it completes one year in office. He stated that the promises made to the public are being fulfilled one by one.

During a media interaction in New Delhi, Singh addressed various issues, including the city’s waste management and pollution challenges. He emphasized that the BJP government is actively working to alleviate pollution by introducing more electric buses. Additionally, under welfare schemes, health insurance of up to ₹10 lakh is being provided to individuals over 70 years of age. Singh praised Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for her leadership in delivering excellent services to the people of Delhi.

Commenting on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement advocating for the Bharat Ratna award for Veer Savarkar, Singh remarked that Savarkar’s struggle for India’s independence and his three life sentences in the Andaman Islands are unparalleled in the history of the freedom movement. He believes Savarkar deserves the Bharat Ratna.

Regarding disruptions in Parliament caused by opposition MPs, Singh urged them to participate in the proceedings and assist in completing pending work. He reminded them that the house is not a place for protests.

On Sunday, a program was held at Ramleela Ground to celebrate the completion of one year of the Delhi government. BJP National President Nitin Naveen also attended the event. During this occasion, the government announced the addition of 500 new electric buses to Delhi’s transport system. This marks the first time in the city’s history that such a large number of electric buses have been introduced simultaneously. Over the past year, the government has consistently added new electric buses to the DTC fleet, bringing the total number of electric buses in Delhi to over 4,000.
