Delhi Court grants bail to creators of Bulli Bai, Sulli Deals apps

New Delhi, March 29 : A Delhi District Court on Tuesday granted bail to the creators of Bulli Bai and Sulli deals mobile applications by levelling certain terms and conditions. , The Counsel for both Bishnoi and Thakur moved the bail application, stating that the applicants have been falsely implicated in the matter and the trial of case will take a long time, so the applicants may be granted bail. The Counsel further submitted that the applicants were ready to furnish the surety bond with the satisfaction of the court, if granted bail. The Counsel further submitted that the applicants were first time offenders and will neither influence the witnesses, nor the Forensic Science Laboratory Report (FSL), which is awaited in the matter. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Pankaj Sharma granted bail to Neeraj Bishnoi and Amkareshwar Thakur with certain terms and conditions, stating that they will not contact and influence the witnesses of the case and will also not induce any victim. The Court further directed the accused to keep their mobile phones in switched on position always and provide their location to the Investigating officer. Neeraj allegedly created an app called Bulli Bai using GitHub, while Amakareshwar allegedly created Sulli deals app. Both the mobile applications hosted photographs of more than 100 Muslim women without their consent.
