Delhi budget reflects AAP’s ideology of staunch patriotism & humanity: Kejriwal

New Delhi, March 29 : The Delhi budget for the year 2022-23 reflect the three pillar of the Aam Aadmi Party’s ideology built upon staunch patriotism, honesty and humanity, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in the assembly on Tuesday. He also said that he will keep working till the last breath for these principles to make the country better. Kejriwal was replying to a discussion on the budget in the Delhi Assembly. The CM praised his government’s budget and called it a historic budget presented by any government so far in independent India. “No state or central government in the history of independent India has ever been able to present an employment-centric budget. It was for the first time after the independence a ‘Rozgar Budget’ was presented by our government, Kejriwal claimed. He also said that the budget meets the aspirations of the country’s youth. “The budget has been prepared to bring happiness to all, especially educated youth who are still struggling for jobs. In the last few years, demonetisation, GST and pandemic have worsened the job scenario. We bring ‘Rozgar Budget’ because of our principles of hardcore patriotism, extreme honesty and humanity—the three pillars of AAP’s ideology,” Kejriwal said. Last week, Deputy CM and Finance Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia presented the budget 2022-23 in Delhi Assembly. Sisodia said that the budget amounting to Rs 75,800 crores is aimed to create 20 lakh jobs in the next five years. The budget has prioritised sectors like retail, food and beverages, logistic and supply chain, travel and tourism, entertainment, construction, real estate and green energy to create new jobs. Besides, the government has set aside 22 per cent of the total budget for the education sector, the highest allocation so far. The health sector has been given Rs 9,769 cr and the transport sector Rs 9,539 cr, each accounting for around 13 per cent share of the total budget. ASH SHK
