New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), a key maritime armed force in India, is offering a significant opportunity for job seekers. An official notification has been released, inviting applications for 365 various positions, including Sailor (General Duty). The deadline for applications is October 21.
Among the 365 vacancies, there are 234 positions for male Sailors (General Duty), 26 for female Sailors, and additional roles for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, as well as Hygiene specialists.
The online application process commenced on October 6 at 11 AM and will remain open until October 21 at 5:30 PM. Interested candidates can complete their registration on the official Indian Coast Guard website.
Eligibility criteria vary by position. For Sailors (General Duty), candidates must have completed the 12th grade with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board. The requirements for other roles include a 10th-grade education for Sailors (Domestic Branch) and specific diplomas in engineering fields for technical positions.
Applicants must pay a registration fee of ₹500, although candidates from SC/ST categories are exempt from this fee.
Selection will be based on a series of assessments, including a Computer-Based Exam (CBE), biometric verification, a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and medical examinations. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹29,200, along with additional benefits.
