A city court has allowed the ED to interrogate Chidambaram in Tihar Central jail on Wednesday in relation to a money laundering probe connected to the INX Media case.
What’s more, the judge has said the ED could even arrest Chidambaram in required.
The judge also rejected the Congress leader’s plea seeking to recall the production warrant issued against him.
But he denied the prosecution’s request to quiz Chidambaram within the court premises on grounds of dignity of the accused.
The Special Judge’s order has come just two days ahead of 74-year-old leader’s judicial custody was set to expire.
